Hmm....

I wonder what I can get into next....

I know I think I will learn to climb the stairs.

Two down, one more to go.

Wow I just found a bunch more. What do I do now?

Look at me Mommy. I climbed up to the landing all by myself. Yep that's right Tyler can now climb 3 stairs all by himself. What a BIG boy!
So this is what happens when you tell a baby NO!

He has even learned how to produce real tears with the fake cries. He is good. I know I am a really bad Mommy but I find this face completely adorable.

Determination

Tyler accidentally dropped his ball on the other side of the box and he was determined to get it back. Unfortunately for him my barrier still works good (one of the few left in the house that work). He never did get his ball but it was really cute to watch him try.

First Word

Tyler has said his first word. And he knows what it means. Here is video of Tyler saying Ball and playing ball with Daddy. Now he says ball all the time and is constantly looking for his ball. All my worrying about him talking and he went from starting to babble to saying his first word in 3 weeks.

Fun at the Park

We decided to take Tyler to the park today to celebrate his 10 month birthday. Well actually I wanted to take him because he was home all day and I thought he needed to get out of the house for a bit. Troy stayed home with him because he either isn't feeling well or teething REALLY bad. I know a great way to celebrate your 10 month birthday:( He has been really stuffy and waking up all night coughing, causing him to be very cranky at times because he isn't sleeping much. He seemed to be in a much better mood when I got home today, so off to the park we go. Tyler absolutely loves the swings. I think this kid could swing all day if we let him. And this time he decided he wanted to climb up the slide. It was really cute. He could get about halfway up by himself.

He's 10 Months Old

Another month has passed and my baby boy is now 10 months old. I can't believe it. He will be a year old in 2 months and no longer a baby, he will be a toddler:( Tyler is growing up so much and making his Mommy and Daddy so proud of him. I don't think we ever thought it was possible to love another human as much as we love him!! He is definitely our pride and joy.

Some of the things that Tyler has accomplished in the last month are:

1. TALKING!! I am so excited about this one. I was getting really worried about him. He has started to babble the b's and occasionally I hear the m's and the h's. He has even started to say some words. The one he says the most and actually knows what it means is Ball. He has also said Byebye and bubbles. I think I have heard Hi a couple of times too. We are still waiting for him to say Mama and Dada....

2. He can wave. Its more like a backwards wave but its still a wave. Its really cute, it looks like he is waving to himself.

3. He can stand. He now stands for 20 seconds or so. And he does it all the time. He will let go of stuff and stand there and play with his toys without realizing that he is doing it.

4. He has taken that first step a couple of times. Daddy and I are very excited about this. We can't wait for him to start walking. I can tell he is getting more and more comfortable with the first step but still prefers to crawl.

5. He is on all table food for dinner now. So far I have been blessed with a very good eater. Some of the things he likes are: peas, carrots, broccoli, ravioli, any kind of fruit, beans, chicken and pork, oh and Ice Cream. He still eats pureed food at daycare, just because its easier.

6. He is sleeping through the night without waking up for his 5am feeding. He wakes up early between 6:30 and 7am but he goes to bed early too, around 7:30. I still miss seeing his cute little face in the morning.

7. His new favorite toy is EVERYTHING in the kitchen cabinets. He especially loves to go through the cabinet that has all of his stuff in it. He loves to dump all his snacks out of the box.

Tyler is just the best baby ever. He is so easy going and such a joy to be around. These past 10 months have been the best 10 months of our lives:)

Lazy Sunday

I found this cute little park behind a local grocery store and I took Tyler up there on Sunday while Troy went to the movies with some of his buddies. Here are some of the cute pictures from the photo shoot.

I can Stand!!

Tyler has gotten really good at standing these last couple of days. He can now stand up for about 20 seconds before sitting down. For the most part he has stopped falling when he is standing he just sits down. Usually its to crawl somewhere but I think he will be walking soon. He is getting more and more comfortable with taking that first step. He took that first step several times today before sitting down to crawl.

I Love Saturdays!!

Mostly because I get to sleep in and spend the rest of the day with my baby. Today was a pretty busy day. We checked out the local farmers market, then got some bbq (Tyler's favorite) and went to Kroger. Kroger was doubling all coupons a dollar and under today. In my efforts to try and save some money I have decided to get serious about couponing. I think it will be interesting to see how many items I can get for free or really cheap. Today I saved about $50, WOOHOO!! Later on in the afternoon I decided to take some pictures of my Little Guy. Here are some of the cute ones.

So Big!!!

The Park

I met a friend of mine, Dana and her daughter Aubrey, at the park on Wednesday. We walked around for a bit and then we put the kiddos on the swings. Tyler loves to swing. I think he was on there for a good 20 minutes. I was able to get a couple of cute pictures of him.

I love the wild man hair in these pictures:)

Swimming

I took Tyler swimming on Saturday morning. I am trying to get him used to the water for our trip to Destin. I think he is going to do just fine when we are there. He stayed in the water for over an hour. He played on the steps some and then he floated around in his little raft. I love this raft because it has a little ledge that holds his toys. I think he would get bored in the water if he didn't have some toys to play with.

These pictures were taken with my new camera. I know the color is off some, they are really bright. Tyler still looks cute though.

The Next Ironman

Tyler has figured out how to break out of his barricades. I think it might be time to order the baby gates.

I love the play by play from Daddy in this video.

Busted

I heard Tyler banging around stuff in the kitchen and this is what I walked into...

Yes, Mom I have already put a cabinet lock on the cabinet with the cleaning supplies. So you don't need to worry about the little guy.

Sunday's Photoshoot

I think I am starting to get the hang of this new camera. Today I went running at the park and when I was done I did a little photo shoot with Tyler. Here are some of the photos from today.

Brag Time

I just want to take a few minutes to brag about my wonderful son:) He is just the cutest thing in the world. Here are some of the things that he did today that made me smile

  • He was the greatest baby ever while I went to run erands and go to the mall. We were out for 4 or 5 hours and he never fussed once. He is the happiest baby when he is out and about and I love it.
  • He has learned to dance and he does it all the time now, its so cute. I love watching his little butt shake.
  • He has learned to play ball with you. I will roll him the ball and he throws it back to me. We will play this game for 20 min sometimes.
  • We have discovered that his armpits are ticklish. I had him laughing hysterically this afternoon.
  • He has also learned to open the cabinets. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing but sure is fun to watch him discover new things.
Okay I am done bragging for now. I could keep going but I would be here all night.

New Camera

Troy surprised me with a new camera and I love it. I am still trying to get used to it. There is so much to learn. I was going to take pictures of Tyler at the park today but its been rainy and nasty outside all morning. So I took some on the stairs instead. Here are some of the cute ones. I still need to learn how to get rid of the shadow in the background.

This is Tyler letting out his famous scream:) I know it doesn't look like it but it really is a scream of joy!

Here is one of my boy sleeping when I got done running. He is such a great workout buddy.
