Little Girl Update

I completely forgot to post an update about the little girl. I had my big ultra sound about 2 weeks ago. Most of the fun was already gone because already know she is a girl but I still make them check at every ultrasound. They also needed to make sure the cyst was really gone. Apparently the perinatologist forgot to write that part down in my records, even though I remember him saying it was gone. Thankfully it is still gone. They did a bunch of measurements and everything still looks fine. No markers for any chromosome issues.

My Mom got to go with me this time. She had never soon an ultrasound, so it was really cool for her to get to experience it. I even got to get a couple pictures of the little lady in 3-D. I have to go for another one in 2 weeks to check the bone measurement. I will get to see her again in 3-D. Hopefully this time she behaves better.

Here are some pictures from the appt.

She's still a she:)

This is the brain. No dark spots means no cyst, YAY!

3-D picture. Its her profile with her arm up in the air. Its kind of hard to make out at first.

Pool Playdate

This was a busy week we had a bunch of pool playdates. Good thing the little man LOVES to swim. Two of them are in a pool and one of them is a bunch of kiddie pools. These pictures are from the one with all the kiddie pools. Tyler got to hang out with his three girlfriends. You will also notice that Tyler always has a chicken nugget in his hand. You would really think I never feed that kid if you saw him eat at playdates.

4th of July

This evening we had our annual 4th of July celebration and of course it turned out awesome. We had friends, food and fireworks. What more could you ask for. I completely lost track of time and didn't get to put Tyler to bed until about 9pm. So he never fell asleep before the fireworks started. They were going off pretty much right outside his window, so it was pretty loud. I ended up just getting him out of bed when I figured he wasn't going to sleep. He sat on Daddy's lap and watched the fireworks. He loved them. Every time one went up, he would yell BOOM!!

OCD???

Daddy and I both think Tyler might be slightly OCD. He has to have everything in an order and he gets really mad at you if you move one of his toys out of place. Here are some pictures of his OCD in action today.

Lining all his toys up in a line.

Choo Choo

Tyler turned this box into his Choo Choo. Its so funny what kids love to play with.

Vegas Baby!!!

Daddy and I are off to Vegas. I was so nervous this was the first time that I have left you overnight. Luckily your Grandma Sandy came into town to watch you. She is the Grandma that you have spent the most time with, so I was hoping you would remember her a little. She came into town a couple days early to get you used to her again. She was so excited to finally get some alone time with you. She loves her Tyler so much:)

Mommy and Daddy had a great time in Vegas. It was so nice to get away for a bit. Especially before your little sister arrives. And best of all I got to eat a meal in peace!!! Mommy was one of the few that came home from Vegas a winner! Daddy did not have the same luck. And to make it even better you did awesome for your Grandma Sandy. You weren't fussy at all, that made our trip so much easier.

Here are some pictures from our time in Vegas. Sorry I was really bad about take pictures, so there aren't many.

Goodbye Atlanta

We had a really good visit in Atlanta but Daddy misses us, so its time to go home. Before we left I took some pictures of you with everyone.

You and Grandma Marcia

You and Grandpa

You and your Great Grandparents

I LOVE Harley

Harley definitely became your favorite dog while we were there. You even learned to say his name, ar-ee. Harley was so good to you, he let you sit on him, pull on him, and drag him across the room. I am amazed he never snapped at you, you really tested your limits with him.

Here is a picture of you giving Harley a hug.

Ketchup

Tonight at dinner I gave you a little dish of ketchup. For a while you dipped your french fries in it and then sucked the ketchup off. Then you figured out that was way too much trouble and decided to just lick the dish.

Georgia Aquarium

Today we went to the Georgia Aquarium with Grandpa and Great Grandpa. We rode the Marta into downtown Atlanta, so you got to go on your first train ride. You loved standing at the window watching the world go by.

You had so much fun at the aquarium. They had some really big fish tanks that went from the floor to about 20 ft in the air. I think you could have stood there all day and watched the fish. You also loved splashing in the shrimp taking and scaring all the shrimp away.

Riding on the Marta.

Pointing at all the fish

Looking at the fish that were really low

Pointing at the fish that were swimming above your head

On the Marta on the way home. I think we wore you out.

Swimming

You went swimming alot while we were in Atlanta. You loved it so much. On this day we were at one of Grandma Marcia's friend's house. It was a little cloudy outside, so it go a little chilly but you still had fun for a while. Later on in the week we took you to the pool at your Great Grandparent's house and you had so much fun. You loved jumping off the ledge into my arms. You even liked going under water. Whenever I did it you were saying more more to do it again. I love the water and I am so glad that you love it too. Daddy is not the biggest fan of the water.

King of the House

While Grandpa was away at work you decided to take over his chair. Introducing the new man of the house!

Goodbye Uncle Joel

Tonight we all had dinner to celebrate your Uncle Joel leaving for the Army. Tomorrow he is leaving for basic training. We all wish him the best of luck with his new endeavor.

Here are some pictures of you playing around after dinner.

Chasing Harley around the house with your dump truck. You had a blast but Harley was hating life at this point.

Off To Atlanta

Tyler and I are headed to Atlanta to see his Grandparents and Great Grandparents. Tyler has his own seat on the plane this time. On the way out there he did pretty good. He loved looking out the window and climbing up and down the seat.

Eating your blueberries and looking out the window during takeoff

Baby Girl Update

I had my appointment today with the perinatologist. Overall it was a very good appointment. It looks like the cyst is gone, YAY! Since the baby had the cyst, it still puts me at an increased risk for Trisomy 18 and Downs Syndrome. My risk for Trisomy 18 is 1:1800 and my risk for Downs is 1:480. According to the doctor these are pretty good odds and nothing that I should stress over. He didn't find any other markers on the baby for either of these disorders. He does want me to be monitored every 4 weeks. So that means I get more ultrasounds. I love getting peeks at my little sweetheart.

Also, I turned 17 weeks today and all the sudden baby girl decides that its time to party in my belly. Prior to today I was felling her maybe once or twice a day. Today I have been feeling some really good movement all day long. I love this part of pregnancy.

Here is a picture of the little lady. She is laying kind of upside down. Her head is towards the bottom and you will see the spine curve up to the left side. It doesn't look like a very good position to be in.
