Date Night

We finally found a baby sitter!!! This is only the 2nd time we have had a baby sitter since Tyler was born. Her name is Whitney and she works at the gym daycare. She has been there the whole time I have been taking Tyler and she was always really good with him. She just seemed perfect. Tyler even loves her. He calls her Miss Whoop-me (haha I love it). When I pull into the gym he tells me we are going to Whoop-me's house. The kids did great and she said they were super easy. All she had to do was give them a bath and put them to bed and then she got to sit around and get paid:) Neither kid gave her a problem going to bed.

Daddy and I had a great time on our date. It was so nice to actually get to eat a hot meal! After dinner we went and saw a movie. I hadn't been to the movies since I was pregnant with Tyler. It was a much needed night out. I am so glad I found someone that I trust, so we can do this more often.

After we got home I looked at Tyler on the computer and this is what I saw.


He conned Miss Whitney into letting him go to sleep with his balloon. He knows we never let him go to sleep with toys! I did go an move the balloon away from him, so he wouldn't wrap the string around his neck.

Favorite Times

I love when Tyler is sweet to his sister. Its not every day but I am going to treasure these days. I know they could end at any time. Sometimes when I sit Ali on the floor Tyler just wants to love on her and hold her.

Main Street Days

Today we met a friend and her kids in Grapevine for Main Street Days. Tyler had a blast. He loves riding carnival rides.

After we rode the rides for a bit we headed over to the petting zoo. Tyler loved feeding the goats. He tried feeding the chickens but they wouldn't let him any where close to them (smart chickens haha).

My little crawler (yes, its true!!) is determined to get Sammy. I love Sammy, he is the most patient dog ever.

6 Month Check Up

Miss Ali had her 6 month check up today. Daddy got to take her to this one. I had to go into work and couldn't reschedule her appt. Ali is doing great. The doctor is very impressed by her sitting skills. She is 17.5 lbs (60%) and 27.5 in (90%). She is growing like a little weed!!

Safari Park

Today we had a playdate with "other" friends at Safari Park (Tyler calls the playgroup friends his "other" friends). Tyler loved this place but I hate it. Its so crowded and unorganized. They have a little train, a playplace for the kids to play on, and then a tons of kitchens and train tables for the kids to play on.

Today Tyler was feeding Ali her puffs. He was having a blast! This even allowed me to get the kitchen cleaned up after lunch. It makes my heart so happy watching the two of them interact.

I can't believe she can do this. She has only had about 15 or so bottles in her life. The good news is she is finally taking a bottle from Daddy!!! This little girl amazes us every day.

I can't believe my 6 month old is already addicted to Mickey. Once she hears his voice her head whips around. Its quite funny.

Tyler is outside again and this time my little sicky joined him. She looks so sad when her eyes get all red and watery.

Tyler got a water table and he LOVES it!!! He needed some more outdoor toys and I thought this would be the perfect edition to his collection.

Brotherly Love

Tyler loves to hold his baby sister. I love posting these kind of pictures because one day they might hate each other and needed to be reminded of the love they once had for each other.

Happy 6 Months Baby Girl

Wow my baby girl is 1/2 a year old!!! Life is really flying by. My little Ali brings such joy to our lives. She is such a happy little munchkin. I love it when she first sees me in the morning, I get the biggest smile out of her and she starts kicking her legs like she is about to jump out of her clothes.

Here are some things that you have accomplished this month:

1. You are a sitter!!!!! Still a sort of unsteady one at times but you are definitely a sitter now.
2. You went on your first vacation and plane ride.
3. You have started eating purees. You have tried sweet potatoes, peas, butternut squash and green beans. Your favorite so far is butternut squash.
   
4. You are finally starting to sleep better. You sometimes wake up for your paci around 1:45 but you aren't eating until about 5am. Now if we could just drop that 1:45 paci waking, I could get more than 3 hours of sleep in a row:)
5. You have mastered the straw sippy and have even started to take a few bottles again.
   

We love you baby girl and can't wait to see what the next six months bring us!!!

Field Day

Today they were having field day at Tyler's school. I decided to help out, so I could get some pictures of him.

Happy Easter!!

Since we don't have any family around us, we spent Easter with our friend Olga and her family. They had a huge BBQ and then an Easter Egg hunt. Tyler had a blast over there.
