1st Day of Preschool

Tyler started preschool today. He will be in school Tuesday- Thursday from 9am-2pm. I can't believe how fast my baby boy is growing up. This is such a bittersweet moment. I LOVE our time together but at the same time I know this will be really good for him. He is going to learn so much and make all kinds of new friends.

He is already so smart. He knows most of his alphabet, a-z with the exception of 3 or 4 letters. He can point them out when he sees them or when I draw them. He also knows all his basic shapes. We are working on numbers, he knows 1-3, but doesn't really care to learn them right now. So I just focus on what he is interested in.

Dropoff went pretty good. He cried when I said good bye to him. I had to run out of there, so he didn't see me cry. They said he only cried for a minute and he was very good the rest of the day. He ate all his lunch and was the 2nd one finished. Imagine that:)

I tired to get some pictures of him before school but he would really look up because it was so bright. This is the best one I could get.

Happy Tuesday!

28 Weeks and 5 Days

This pregnancy has been so much different than my pregnancy with Tyler. This little girl is already giving me a run for my money. About 2 weeks ago I went to the doctor for a normal check up. I have been having lots of braxton hicks, so they did a Febrile Fibronectine test on me. This test is testing for the chemical that helps "glue" your sac to the uterine lining. Well the test came back positive meaning I had a 30-40% chance of going into labor in the next 2 weeks. I was put on strict bedrest. Let me tell you strict bedrest is impossible with a toddler at home. I did stay off my feet as much as possible though.

Last week I had another doctor's appointment and he did an internal on me and the test again. My cervix is still closed up tight which is great. This time the test came back negative. YIPPEEE!! I am off bedrest for now. I still have to take it easy but at least I am not confined to the couch anymore. When the doctor was checking me he could feel her head right there on my cerivx. At least I know the reason for all the pressure down there. It feels like she could fall out at any moment.

Poopy in the Potty!!!!

We haven't been trying to potty train Tyler at all. I am actually hoping to put this off for 6 months but little man might have other ideas. Lately he has been telling us when he poops and occasionally before he does. If he tells me before he does, I bring him to the potty. On Saturday he was telling Troy potty, so Troy took him and he peed in the potty! Then on Sunday, he was telling me poopoo and he hadn't yet, so I took him to the potty. To my surprise he pooped on the potty. I was so excited. This made my whole weekend. I know lame but its amazing what excites us Mommies:)

Elmo

Tyler is obsessed with Elmo. Since I have been on bedrest and we can't get out like we used, I have been letting him watch Elmo in the morning. The other day he even changed the channel on the TV and started saying Elmo.

Here is Tyler in the Elmo trance

Stupid Dog

I have no idea what Sammy was doing but I just happened to walk by him and saw this....

He somehow managed to crawl underneath the couch. I have no idea how he got under there because I had a heck of a time getting him out.

Roller Skating

Today Tyler went roller skating for the first time. It was his friend Maria's birthday party. It was so cute, the skates were so small. He did alot better then I expected. He liked skating (walking) in the middle on the rink and he really loved it when the lights went out and the colorful lights came on. After a little while he was even trying to let go of my hand but that wasn't happening.

After he got done skating they had a dance floor with colorful light under it, he loved this. He ran around and danced for the rest of the party. He has a new dance move which consists of rolling around on the floor.

Here are some pictures from today.

Daddy trying to roller skate. HAHA this was funny. Notice him hugging the wall

On the dance floor

I don't know what he was doing here but it made for a really funny picture.

Swimming

I took Tyler swimming today. He has so much fun swimming. This pool has a little pirate ship slide that he loves to go down. He also loves to jump in the water and fall on his butt (I don't know how it doesn't hurt) and he loves it when I throw him in the air. He has no fear of going under. I really like this pool because its not too crowded and they let him wear the arm swimmies.

We got there a little early, so we had to wait for the pool to open.

Here is what the pool looks like.

After about an hour he's Done!

Tractors

These days Tyler has an obsession with Tractors, big and small. He thinks that lawn mowers are tractors and I guess in a way they are. He loves supervising the lawn people when then cut the grass.

Breakfast Time

Tyler loves breakfast and has to eat it the minute he gets up. When I go get him out of his crib he is already telling me what he wants.

Grilling

Tyler doesn't get much time to play in the back yard these days, except when Daddy is grilling. Its so hot here. Currently we are on day 7 of 100+ degree days. To make things worse the humidity has been awful too, its been around 70%. Pregnant and hot just doesn't make for a happy Mommy.

Here are some pictures of Tyler playing in the backyard and harassing Sammy (or Mammy, as Tyler calls him).

A,B,C,D and Bathtime

I bought Tyler these bath crayons a while ago and he never really got into them. He just isn't that into coloring yet. BUT I found out that he does love for us to draw things for him. He is VERY bossy, he tells us exactly what to draw. Lately we have been working on ABC's and shapes. So far he knows all the basic shapes (stars, squares, triangles, hearts, and circles) and he knows A, B, C, D, and F. He always skips E. Next up is 123.

Here is what bath time looks like these days.

I love my backwards one in this picture:)
