Our Atlanta Trip

So I was really bad about taking pictures on my trip. I was so busy I didn't even think about it. Tyler and I had a great time though. Most of the time we hung out at my Dad's house in the morning, then he napped and I worked, then we went to my Grandparents house, then we it was nap time we went back to my Dad's and then when he woke up we went back to my Grandparents house for dinner. Tyler did really great while we where there, he is such a little angel. He was so good on the flight home, everyone around me commented on how good he was. I have the perfect little son and I love him so much.

Here are some pictures that I took of Tyler with the family and just some random pictures.

Tyler with his Great Grandparents

Tyler playing with all the cool new toys that they bought him.

Tyler's Great Grandpa has been dying to get him one of those push popcorn popper toys. While we were in Atlanta he bought one for Tyler. To say that Tyler loves this toy is an understatement. He pushed this everywhere and got really mad at you when you took it from him.

Tyler with his Grandpa Carl and Grandma Marcia

Tyler's Grandma Marcia picked up this toy box for Tyler. We turn around for a minute and Tyler falls in. It was so cute.

My Little Heman

My little guy is so strong, it amazes me some of the things that he picks up. Today happened to catch him carrying around a little chair that his Grandma Marcia got him.

Then Tyler decided that he wanted to be a little dare devil. Here is Tyler doing flips over his new chair.

We Did It!!

I can't believe we were able to pull off the surprise. My Dad and my Stepmom made up this story that Joel was going to be with friends during the day, so we were going to have Christmas dinner at 6pm. Then my Dad told my Grandparents that they had to pick up a neighbor at the airport (this was a neighbor that always watches their dogs when they go out of town). My Dad and Joel ended up sitting in the airport for about 3 hours, I bet that was no fun. My Stepmom drank about 4 glasses of wine to calm her nerves, she is not a good liar, and my Grandparents were at the house with her waiting for my Dad to return. It all worked out wonderfully in the end. I walked into my Dad's house with my Grandma's back to the door. I walked in and said, " Hi Grandma" and this was the look on her face when she saw me (yes I had the camera ready).

My Grandparents were shocked. My Grandma's face stayed like that for a good 20 seconds and my Grandpa sat on the couch staring at me for about 5 min. I almost brought my Grandma to tears and she said I almost gave her a heart attack. I am so Glad the later didn't happen. It was such a great surprise. I loved their reaction and I will never forget it.

After some of the excitement wore off we ate Christmas dinner and then opened presents. Tyler loved helping his Uncle Joel open his presents and then playing in the paper.

And We're Off!

We are off to Atlanta. I thought I was going to get lucky by flying on Christmas Day. I thought the airport would be dead because of the holiday but I was very wrong. It was crazy and most of this was probably because of the snow storm that we got the day before. Our flight ended up being delayed about 2 hours because of stupidity. They had a broken plane sitting at our gate since about 6 am and for some reason it took them until 1pm to find maintenance people to move the plane. Once the plane was moved ours arrived but then it took them over an hour to clean the plane because someone threw up on the previous flight. I thought we were never going to get to Atlanta.

At least I was able to keep my boy happy. Here is a picture of him snacking in the airport while we waited FOREVER for our plane.

Merry Christmas

We had to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve because Tyler and I were leaving for Atlanta on Christmas Day. We are going out to Atlanta to celebrate Christmas with my Dad, Stepmom and my Grandparents. Tyler is also getting to meet his Uncle Joel for the first time. My Grandparents have no idea that Tyler and I are flying out so this should be a really fun surprise.

We had a great Christmas as our little family. Tyler still didn't quite understand that he was supposed to open presents but he loved seeing all the cool new toys that he got when he opened them. Of course he got way to many presents. I am going to have to put some of them up for a later date. His favorite new toy is his ball pit. He loved crawling around all the plastic balls. It was fun to watch him try to get out of the ball pit.

Here is a family picture of us. Its not the greatest because I had to take it using the timer on the camera.

Here are some of pictures of us opening our Christmas presents.

Here is Tyler playing in his ball pit.

Little Snow Bunny

Daddy thought I was super mean for doing this but I have to take advantage of these rare opportunities plus Tyler had a super cute outfit to wear. Here are some pictures of Tyler out in the snow. He did not like it in the backyard. He kept falling down but when I took him out front he was having the best time.

The next set of pictures are from him in the front yard. You can see the change of mood in the pictures.

Thank You Mom

Thanks to my Mom and all of her hard work our little stocking trio is complete just in time for Christmas.

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I am soooo excited my very first WHITE Christmas!!! It went from 75 degrees yesterday to a whooping 30 degrees today. This morning they were forecasting about 2 inches for my area. I know to some of you this is nothing but to me this is HUGE. It started snowing around 10 am this morning and this is what it looked like out my front door.

A couple of hours later this is what it looked like.

Another couple of hours later... Sammy decided he wanted to play in it. For some reason he loved the snow.

And finally this was taken right before it got dark outside, yes it was still snowing. This is officially the most snow I have seen since we moved to North Texas. It reads a little over 3 inches but you can't really see it.

I can't wait to wake up tomorrow to my first white Christmas!!

Just for Grandma Sandy....

My Mom has been bothering me for some photos of Tyler playing with the Christmas tree. So here you go Grandma Sandy. Oh and thanks to you all of the presents are now missing all the bows. Apparently they are the coolest toys around:)

I LOVE the pouty lip in this picture. Its too cute!

He had to go show Daddy his new hair do.

Why....

Why do we has parents spend all this money on new toys for our little ones and their favorite toys are either garbage or things we already have around the house? Tyler's latest favorite toy is the Mountain Dew bottle. Before that it was the spaghetti strainer, his tooth brush, the shampoo bottle, and the spatula. Do you see the pattern? Yeah as a parent I wonder all the time why I even bother with toys.

Happy 14 Month Birthday Baby Boy!

I can't believe how fast time in flying. These months are going by so quickly. It seems like since Tyler hit a year old all of the months just run together now. I love the age that Tyler is at right now, it seems like everyday he is learning something new. I love being able to be the person that gets to teach him all these cool new things. Some of the things that Tyler has accomplished this month are:

1. He cut his 12th tooth and the last of the 1st year molars. Hopefully we are able to take a little break from teething. I can't imagine how bad this hurts him.

2. He can now say book, dog and thank you. Still no daddy though! I think Troy needs to step it up and start working with him on this one. Or maybe Troy doesn't really want him to say this, then he will call for him all the time. All I hear all day is Maaaa.

3. He signs More and Milk. To him I think more means I want food and milk means I want drink. I haven't really worked with him on any other signs, so this might be all he learns.

4. He loves to read books. This is his new favorite activity, he will bring you the book, say boo and then sit on your lap so you can hold the book while he turns the pages.

5. He knows where his belly is. When you ask him "where's your belly?", he tries to lift his shirt. When he sees his belly he likes to rub it and smile. Typical Man!!

6. He had to go to the doctor the other day for his excema and he is up to 24 lbs! No wonder he is so heavy.

That is all I can think of for now. I am sure we have many more fun things to come in this next month. Until then we love you baby boy!

Sick Boy and German Food

This morning Daddy got initiated into the Daddy club. While Troy was nice enough to let me sleep in, Tyler threw up all over him. I got woken up to "You have to get up now and help me". I gave Tyler a bath because I didn't think my tummy could handle throw up first thing in the morning. I was right when I saw it on Tyler's clothes I gagged a little. Tyler seemed to be fine though. While he was taking his bath he played normal and when he was done he continued to play. I don't know what caused it. He did throw up in the middle of the night too, nothing really bad but I did have to change his sheets. He has been acting normal all day but he hasn't really been wanting to eat. All day he just ate here and there. I offered it and if he ate it great but I was not going to push it on his poor little tummy.

This evening, we all got our first taste of German food. A couple of our friends love this German restaurant in Plano, so we all met up there for dinner. I was a bit scared but I figured if they liked it, I should be able to find something to eat there. It ended up being pretty good, expensive but good. Tyler wasn't really interested in trying it. I really didn't expect much since wasn't feeling too good today.

My little cutie playing with a spoon. Doesn't he look like such a big boy now!

It Must Be Instincts....

I gave Tyler a lollipop today just to see what he would do with it.... He put it in his mouth and started to suck on it. I guess there are somethings that you just don't have to teach them. And go figure its the things that are bad for them. I love how his belly is sticking out in the picture below.
