Fun Times

Thanks to one of my new friends I found this play place at one of the local malls. Its indoors, so its going to be perfect for these winter months we have ahead of us. Today I went to the mall to try and find some new winter clothes for me. When I was done shopping I stopped by and let Tyler play for a bit. He loves it here. And he has discovered that he loves going down slides all by himself, head first of course:) I need to watch out because I can already tell that he is a little dare devil.

Little Farmer

I have always wanted to do a little photo shoot with just overalls on Tyler. I finally got the perfect setting this weekend. A tractor. Daddy thought I was a little nuts when he saw Tyler with overalls and no shirt on but then he saw then pics and thought it was cute.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Let the Holiday season begin!! Tyler wants to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

This year for Thanksgiving we are headed out to Nick and Sue's lake house. The drive out here went even better than last time, Tyler and the dogs did great. We left around 11am, stopped in Irving at my favorite pizza place and Tyler slept the rest of the way. We are cooking up a feast for Thanksgiving. Nick is smoking a turkey, we got a honey baked ham, and we are having sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, corn, gravy, lima beans and rolls. And the best part is the Pumpkin Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Yes, there are only 4 of us, well 6 if you include Tyler and the little munchkin in Sue's belly:) Tyler loved the turkey, lima beans and the sweet potatoes.

The dogs love being out there. They have a huge backyard that looks out into the lake. Sammy loves playing ball here and of course Bailey loves to chase his butt. Today I took the dogs exploring on a little penisula and they were having so much fun. Bailey and her short little legs had to hop everywhere, it was pretty funny.

Here are some pictures from today.

Look at that BIG world out there, I can't wait to get out there and explore

And he's off!!

Don't worry Momma, I promise I'll come back

Super Sunday

Like every other Sunday, today was a great day. We had lunch with Daddy and Nick while they watched some football and then Tyler and I went to take some pictures. I got a new lens yesterday, so I had to try it out. I got through about a 100 photos and my memory card was full. This as never happened, then I realized that I was taking all my pics in RAW. Which are HUGE files. Plus I have a smaller memory card in my camera right now because my other one my other one stopped working for some reason. I can't wait to get it back.

Here are some pics from today. As you will see and probably have noticed from previous pics Tyler is never looking at the camera. I really need to figure out how to get him to look at me but he is way to preoccupied with the world around him right now.

13 Months Already!

So today I realized that my baby boy is 13 months old. Where the heck did this month go? We have had a really busy month and tons of changes. We are adjusting wonderfully to me working from home. I don't think Tyler misses daycare at all. But I know they miss him tons. I had to go up there the other day to pick up a statement for taxes and he said hello to his old teachers. They were so excited to see him. We have gotten Tyler on a schedule and it is working out great. No more fussy baby in the evenings. He now gets the two naps a day that he needs.

Tyler has really grown up this month. He definitely turned into a toddler. Some of the things that he accomplished this month are:

1. Walking- the day after his birthday he decided that crawling was for the babies and walking was for the big boys.

2. He now says ot ohh, dog, and Ma. Still no Dada or Da but I'm sure that will come soon.

3. He fake coughs and covers his mouth. This one is too cute.

4. He tries to do flips. He puts his head on the ground with his butt in the air and tries to flip over. He has made it a couple of times. Its more of a side ways flip but he will get there one day.

5. He signs milk all the time. I don't think he realizes it means milk though. I think he just does it when he is thirsty or hungry.

6. He is starting to run. He usually falls when he gets going to fast.

7. He is having conversations with himself. Of course I have no idea what he saying but it actually sounds like he is having a conversation and he knows what he is saying.

8. He is completely off the bottle and off the boob. He is doing great with the sippy cup and has even learned how to drink out of the ones with the straw.

9. He has 11 teeth. The 4 middle top, 4 middle bottom, 2 top molars and 1 bottom molars. Any day he is going to cut the 2nd bottom molar. I can feel the sharp points right under the gum. Hopefully once this cuts its the last one for a while.

I Can't Say Thank You Enough!!

I know I don't always show it or say it but I am so Thankful for my husband. He is great with Tyler, he helps me around the house and he supports me. He was not very excited about our decision for me to start staying home with Tyler but he was willing to give it a try. He knew that this was something that I really wanted and it is good for Tyler. We had to make some lifestyle changes that he wasn't really looking forward to them but I think it will all work out in the end.

I just can't believe how much happier I am now that I am home with Tyler. I just feel so much more fulfilled with my life. I stay very busy and I am still working part time. I only work during Tyler's nap time, so the rest of the day its just me and the little guy. I was thinking about all this today and how I never really got to enjoy my maternity leave because I knew it would be coming to an end. I mean don't get me wrong I loved being home for those three months but in the back of my head I always knew it would be coming to an end. Now I just get to enjoy each day and I love it.

One of the sweet little moments that I get to enjoy now that I am home. A sleeping baby:) This is a picture of the TV, we have a camera in his room that is hooked to our TV in the bedroom. The white spot in the middle of his butt is a window (it looks like a censor bar), it kind of ruins the pic but its still cute.

Thank you hunny for giving me this opportunity! I love you:)

Who Knew.....

Who knew that cabinets where so much fun. Tyler has always loved to play in the cabinets. He usually just pulls everything out of them and then puts in back and repeats this until he is bored. But now he has decided that he wants climb in the cabinets. Today I got a couple of pictures of him playing in them.

Safari Room

Today we went to a birthday party for one of our friend's little girl. They had it at this place called the Safari Room. This place had a train set up (it was very little and just went in circles) and they had a play place for the kids with a ball pit. I bet you can guess that Tyler LOVED the ball pit. We had a great time playing in there. Most of the time I had to get in there with him because there were some older kids around and Tyler kept trying to climb up the slide (his favorite thing to do). For the most part he did really good around the older kids and they were mindful of him. All but one that decided to slide down the slide while Tyler was climbing up it. I guess he couldn't wait two seconds. Tyler didn't get hurt but it really pissed me off. This was the same kid that came within inches of jumping on Tyler in the ball pit a few minutes earlier. Some people just really need to teach their kids manners. I know kids are kids but a little bit of manners wouldn't hurt.

Enough of my little rant. Here are some pictures of Tyler in playing around.

Little Astronaut

I think I have the silliest boy in the world. Lately he has started to do the funniest things. One of them is the Monkey dance, he squats down real low and then shakes his arm from side to side. He also does this thing where he stands on his head with his feet on the ground and then he starts to run in place. Another thing he does is pretend that he's an astronaut. He puts the salad crisper on his head and then runs around the house.

And He's Off

I let the dogs out and Tyler decided to follow. Tyler is in a blue shirt in the middle of the picture.

These are just pics of us playing in the backyard after Tyler escaped. I guess he was trying to tell me that he wanted some outside time.
